Baking has been in me since I was a kid.
I didn't have flour or ovens, so I used sand as cake and stuck candles around it. I'd pretend I was running the fanciest bakery in the neighborhood 😂
The fire grew bigger when I got into college. That was the first time I saw cakes that looked like art. I was OBSESSED.
But I had zero training. So I did what everyone does... I went to YouTube, mixed random things I saw, and the result? A total disaster 😭
Did I stop? HELL NO.
Something in me kept saying “you can do better.”
My first YouTube cake actually came out okay... but not “client standard” okay. And I knew I wanted more.
That's when I realized I couldn't learn everything from videos. So I registered for proper training, and I'm so glad I did.
Look at me now — still learning, still growing, but miles ahead of the girl who baked with sand.
